Children have always been my passion and career. This passion has led me to teaching and serving vulnerable children of the inner cities of St. Louis and Los Angeles to rural Tennessee, Atlanta, El Salvador, Guatemala, the island of Cebu and City of Manila, Philippines.
My career started at age 19, in the inner city of St. Louis, Missouri. For more than a decade, I ministered to vulnerable children and co-founded the well known anti-abuse, gang and drug program, “Drugbusters.” Throughout the years, this program educated hundreds of families and empowered kids to report abuse, stick together and resist drug use and sales.
I became licensed in Christian Education, worked as an elementary school teacher, daycare director, school chaplain and 30 years as a children’s pastor and family ministries director. Finally, we became a foster family for the state of Georgia, US for 15 years.
Most recently, I became frustrated with the lack of education, training, resources and support available to parents with vulnerable children. Help is available for the children, but often times not for the parents.
I began this business in 2020 to serve parents and children in my community with Parent and Family Coaching, as an Enneagram coach for parents, parenting workshops and classes that empower parents to do family better.
Michael, my husband of 26 years, and I have two biological sons and three adopted children. My husband served as the senior pastor at Mountain West Church in Tucker, Georgia for 18 years before returning to the mission field in South East Asia in 2021.
Our three adult children are on their own and thriving. Our two younger children have moved with us to Manila, Philippines. Michael travels doing mission work all over SE Asia and I work as the elementary school counselor at an international school where our two children attend.
My most recent accomplishment is earning my Masters of Science in Child and Adolescent Psychology from Capella University. I love learning and using my practice to serve and support families all over the world. I love helping others: do family better.
My goal is to help better equip parents who need new strategies. A collaborative approach to parenting is used, in addition to parenting education and providing resources, tools, support and guidance tailored to address the challenges of each individual familiy I work with.
